Care Instructions for your Plushie:
Rule of thumb- if your plush has the following:
painted features, felt hair, fur or wire
use a lint roller and go over the dusty areas, if still dirty, use a wet towel and mild detergent to carefully spot clean, avoiding the areas with paint
use a towel to soak up excess water and dry thoroughly in the sun
do NOT put in the dryer!
embroidery, safety eyes or printed fabric
wash by hand, and put it in a laundry net bag or a pillowcase (this is so the thread doesn't snag on anything), in the dryer on the lowest setting
More specific instructions below! If in doubt, feel free to contact me.
Animal Crossing
hand wash and dry in a laundry net bag or a pillowcase on the lowest setting in the dryer
hand washing: fill a basin with cold water and a very small amount of mild detergent
gently press up and down on the plush so that it becomes fully saturated with the bathwater
repeat until all dirt comes out of the plush, then clean and fill the basin with clean water and continue with the pulsing motion until the water is clear
use a towel to soak up excess water
air drying is fine, just make sure that the plush is fully dried inside
the colors of the fabric will fade faster if you display it in the sun, so try to keep it out of direct sunlight
Pocket Human
use a lint roller to pick up any dust on the plush
if it's still dirty, use a wet towel to lightly clean it and air dry
the colors of the fabric will fade faster if you display it in the sun, so try to keep it out of direct sunlight
Deluxe Human
because there are hand painted details on the face and clothing, I recommend a lint roller to pick up any dust on the plush
use a wet towel to lightly clean dirty areas, avoiding any painted details (especially on the face), and air dry
use a towel to soak up excess water
the colors of the fabric will fade faster if you display it in the sun, so try to keep it out of direct sunlight
